The Certified Nursing Assistant course will be offered from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, Oct. 24 through Nov. 17 at Pella Regional Health Center.
This class introduces the essential scientific knowledge, technical skills, and communication techniques, as specified by OBRA, to function as a member of the health care team. Theory, laboratory practice, and clinical experience will be incorporated to prepare the student to address the needs of patients. With satisfactory completion, participants will be issued a 75 hour certificate. The cost is $650 due prior to class starting. Application deadline is Oct. 3. Those who successfully complete the course are hired by Pella Regional Health Center and commit to one year of working at Pella Regional will be reimbursed the cost of the course.
