The Wittemberg Cemetery Association held its annual meeting on April 9. The following officers and board members were elected: President Joe Dodge, Vice President Ken Doak, Secretary Pat Beckham, Treasurer Randall Rusk and Board Members, Steve Failor, Bob Beckham and Linda Wormley.
The cemetery clean-up day is set for 9 a.m. Saturday with a rain date of May 7. Work is usually completed by noon. Volunteers are welcome and should bring gloves and any tools such as pruners or rakes they may need. While work is accomplished, it is also a fun community gathering.
There was discussion on replacing part of the cemetery fence, and Rusk was hired for that job. A review of area cemetery prices was made and prices for were adjusted.
The speaker for the Memorial Day Service will be Janet Secor of Fort Dodge.
