Patricia M. Bestell

Patricia M. “Pat” Broesch Bestell, 91, of Newton, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19 at the funeral home. Those left to honor Pat’s memory are her sons, Bill (Teresa) Bestell of Newton, John (Peggy) Bestell of Kellogg and Jody (Traci) Bestell of Baxter; her daughter-in-law, Allison Bestell of Newton; nine grandchildren, Meghann (Darin) Eide of Newton, Tammy Bestell of Newton, Robby Bestell of Kellogg, J. R. Bestell of Kellogg, Carrie (Eric) James of St. Louis, Mo., Dustin Bestell of Baxter, Hunter Bestell of Baxter, Brad (Alida) Bestell of Newton and Amy (Nick) Schechinger of Manilla; and her 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, DesMond V. “Desi” Bestell in 1989; son, Gary D. Bestell in 2005; granddaughter, Mackenzie Bestell in 2011; great-granddaughter, Kally Bestell in infancy; and several brothers and sisters.
