Wilson L. Dop

Wilson L. Dop, 85, of Reasnor, died on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at the Newton Church of The Way, 2306 S. Third Ave. E. in Newton. The family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be at the Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton.

Memorials to Skiff Hospice may be left at the funeral home or at the church on the morning of the funeral service. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home; please add Attn: Dop Family on the envelope.

Those left to honor Wilson’s memory are his wife, Genevieve of Reasnor; children, Rodger (Lisa) Dop of Monroe, Douglas (Ruth Ann) Dop of Monroe, Donna (Danny) Shea of Newton and Betty Ann Dop of Baxter; his five grandchildren, Tracy (Jay) Porter, Jason (Jessie) Dop, Matthew (Allison) Dop, Kurtis Dop and Kyle Dop; and five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jonas, Isaac, Trenton and McKenzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Francis H. Dop and sister, Geraldine Lee.
