Homer L. Davis

Homer Leroy Davis, 81, of Newton, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. Memorials in Leroy’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Those left to honor Leroy’s memory are his four children, Linda (Hal) Snedeker of Waukee, Suzie (Khris) Gooch of Newton, Kim (Roxanne) Davis of Newton, and Marty (Lisa) Davis of Lincoln, Neb.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his special friend, Glenda Gill of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Leroy and Rosetta (Goodhue) Davis; mother of his children, Beverly Davis, in 1996; his brother, Cecil; and three sisters, Margaret, Darlene and Lois Lorene.
