Fans will be allowed to bring in one plastic bottle of water, up to 20 ounces, per person for this weekend’s races at Iowa Speedway, officials announced Friday morning.
The speedway has a no outside food or beverage policy, but because of the forecast of excessive heat for both Saturday and Sunday, it is allowing fans to bring in a personal-size bottle of water, said Craig Armstrong director of communications.
“No other beverages or food will be allowed as per our policy,” Armstrong said. “No coolers full of water or other beverages. This is a one-time event.”
“We want everyone to keep themselves hydrated during potential higher temperatures for the races this weekend.”
