Nickel, McGrane united in marriage

Regina Sue Nickel and Larry Adrian McGrane were united in marriage Dec. 3, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Pastor Steve Williams, friend of the bride’s family, performed the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Clayton and Lineen Nickel of Wall, South Dakota. The groom is the son of Larry and Diane McGrane of Waterloo, Iowa.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sister, Shawna Nickel, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jeanette Stark, Mallory Deckard, Hidie Gardner and Apral Tomkins, all friends of the couple. The groom was attended by Ben Gardner, as the best man; the groomsmen were Cliff Tomkins, David Gregory, David Himschoot and Jordan Dunn, all friends of the couple. Ushers were Jake and Annie Nickel, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, and Jason and Miranda Arends, brother-in-law and sister of the groom. Grace Wedig was the flower girl. A reception followed the ceremony at the Knights of Columbus in Waterloo, Iowa.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Newton Senior High School and is currently a Genetics PhD candidate at Iowa State University. The groom is a 1999 graduate of East High School in Waterloo and currently works at Burke Corporation in Nevada, Iowa. The newlyweds honeymooned in the Western Caribbean and now reside in Ames.
