PCM's Scott Bruxvoort named to all-state teams

PCM senior Scott Bruxvoort fights his way through St. Edmond defenders during the Mustangs’ first-round loss at the state basketball tournament on March 6. Adding to his already long list of accomplishments, Bruxvoort was selected to the Iowa Newspaper Association and Des Moines Register all-state first teams released earlier this week. It is his second straight selection to both teams. Bruxvoort averaged 22.2 points per game, which was tops in the Heart of Iowa Conference, sixth in Class 2A and 16th overall in the state. An integral part of the Mustang team that went 22-3 and reached the state tournament for the second straight season, Bruxvoort will play basketball for the University of Albany (N.Y.) next year.
