The Jasper County Historical Museum recently hosted its 2011 Christmas Open House, an event that takes place at the museum every other year.
Sections of the museum were decorated by various groups and individuals throughout Jasper County. Those groups and individuals who helped with this Christmas Open House included the Sunbonnet Questers, Spirit of 76 Questers, Guilielma Zollinger Questers, Olive Jane Lamb Questers, The Kellogg Historical Society, Bob Butin, Dee Butler, Mary Ann Iske, Bud Langmaid, Jim Farland, Linda Perrenound, Herb Scott, Leland Smith, Diane Engle, Joan Smith, Linda Wormley and the Newton Fiddle and Musician’s Club.
Special Christmas trees were decorated by the Baxter Garden Club, Mingo Women’s Club, Alice Klopping, Barb Birkenholtz, Mary Ann Iske, Linda Perrenound and Deb Hansch.
Holiday entertainment during the open house was provided by Lou Foster, Virginia Bennett, Steve Knight, Sandra Smit, Tintinnabulation Bell Choir, Judy Brody with Steve Kohtz, Cul De Sac, Bechaw and Friends, Harmony Dulcimers, the Accordz, Skunk River Singers and the Alleluia.
