Frankie W. Slatton, 52, of Lynnville died Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, at the Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa.
A private family burial will be held. The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be at the Newton Union Cemetery.
Memorials in Frank’s name may be left at the funeral home.
The son of Franklin “Tennessee” and Betty (Smith) Slatton, Frank was born July 3, 1959, in Newton. He lived most of his life in Jasper County and a few years in Missouri. Frank loved to go fishing and hunting, and he also enjoyed cooking for his family.
Frank is survived by his mother, Betty Slatton of Newton; his sisters, Sharel Simbro (Denny Baker) of Reasnor and Bertha Hansen (Craig Krall) of Nashua; his twin brother, Fred Slatton of Pella, and brothers Terry (Kim) Slatton of Richmond, Mo., and Chuck Slatton of Kellogg; a special friend, Dorothy Wyers of Killduff; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin “Tennessee” Slatton.
