Scott and Josie Koopmans of Newton announce the birth of their son, Aiden Michael Koopmans, on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Aiden weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces, and was 191⁄2 inches in length.
Grandparents are Randy and Allyson Springer of Newton and Larry and Rosie Koopmans of Sioux Center.
Great-grandparents are Bob and Phyllis Trotter and Floyd and Betty Springer, all of Newton.
