Randy Lisk, 56, of rural Baxter passed way on Aug. 23, 2010. Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Bethany United Church of Christ in Baxter. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at the Church with Pastor Bryant officiating. Interment will immediately follow the church service at Bethany Cemetery in Baxter.

Randy was born a twin in Harrisburg, Pa., on Aug. 11, 1954, to Lowaine and May (Beckey) Lisk. He attended and graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1972 and then went on to DMACC, where he studied the trade craft of being a machinist. While taking scuba classes in Newton, he met and later married Macy Krueger in 1975. She was assisting the scuba class instructor at the time. Of this union two children were born. Randy had a great passion for his family, racing, football, boating, fishing, camping and listening to his favorite rock bands, Rolling Stones and Def Leppard. He was a member of the Bethany United Church of Christ in Baxter, United Rubber Workers Union and the Spirited Spokes Motorcycle Club of Newton. On Valentine’s Day 2006, Randy received a very special gift of a kidney donated by Macy, as a living donor, to help his renal failure. A true testament for the bond they had.

Those left to honor Randy’s memory include his wife, Macy of rural Baxter; one daughter, Lisa (Travis) Thornton of Baxter, and one son, Justin Lisk of Baxter; his mother, May Lisk of Newton; one brother, Ronald Lisk; one sister, Shelley Johnson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and twin brother, Donald. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Fredregill Family Funeral Home in Baxter has been entrusted with the care of Randy and his family.
