Faune A. (Maxwell) Husted, 80, of Newton died on Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Hospice of Jasper County’s Monarch Wing in Newton.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, at the First Assembly of God Church, 1029 E. 19th St. N. in Newton, conducted by the Rev. M. DeWayne Anderson.
The family will greet friends from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be at the Wallace Cemetery in rural Martensdale.
Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County may be left at the church the morning of the service or at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of Newton; son, Ron (Pam) Husted of Newton; her four grandchildren, Heidi (Rick) Benton of Des Moines, Brian (Brooke) Husted of Des Moines, Michael Husted and Katy (Tom) Du Vall, all of Newton; seven great-granddaughters, Christina Husted, Jesse and Melody Benton, Madeline, Hannah, and Brenna Husted and Lillian Du Vall.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dale Maxwell.
