Aucoin, Babbitt to wed

April Aucoin and Nick Babbitt, both of Houma, La., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Darlene and Kirk Aucoin of Morgan City, La. She is a graduate of Berwick High School in Berwick, La., and Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La. She is currently a pre-kindergarten teacher at Bayou Vista Elementary School in Bayou Vista, La.

Her finacé, formerly of Newton, is the son of Carla and Frank Robeson of Newton and the late Dave Babbitt of Kellogg. He is a graduate of Newton Senior High School and Divers Institute of Technology in Seattle, Wash. He is currently a diver for Cal Dive in Morgan City, La.
