• Christopher C. Cain, 45, of Newton, was charged with violation of a no contact order at 2:01 p.m. Nov 9 in the 300 block of West Ninth Street South. According to the Newton Police Department, officers responded to a call of a violation of a no contact order. When Newton police arrived they met the victim who stated her daughter had seen Cain walking one street to the east of their residence. Officers met with the victim who stated her no contact order said Cain shall not be within one mile or 16 blocks of the protected party. Newton police confirmed the no contact order was active. Newton police then went to the residence where the victim stated Cain was, which falls into the one mile or 16 block radius of the protected party’s residence. Cain was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Dion J. Innis, 27, of Rhodes, was charged with trespassing from an incident that occurred at 12:41 a.m. Oct 22 at Walmart. According to the Newton Police Department, officers responded to Walmart for a criminal trespass. Newton police arrived and met with employees who told officers they were conducting video surveillance and Innis was observed entering the store at 12:41 a.m. Oct. 22. Employees told officers Innis had been trespassed from the property June 7 and served a copy of the notification of restriction from the property. Employees provided officers with a copy of the notice and a still photograph of Innis entering the store. A warrant was requested for the arrest of Innis and he was arrested at 1:54 am Nov. 3 in the 700 block South Fifth Avenue West and taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Brandon D. Lint, 41, of Newton, was arrested at 12:50 p.m. Nov 12 in the 800 block of North Fourth Avenue East on a Burlington, Iowa warrant for failure to appear on a driving while license barred charge and taken to the Jasper County Jail.
