Sunbonnet Chapter of Questers

The Sunbonnet Chapter of Questers met Oct. 10 with 11 members and one guest. Program Topic: “Johnny Apple Seed” was carried out in the form of members sharing their favorite family apple recipes and written copies of the recipes.

Susan Grigsby conducted the business portion of the meeting. Several changes were made regarding description of officer duties and the need to reinstate having a March meeting. A new system for acquiring needed funds for Quester sponsored events was established.

Jan Turk provided the program which on the bibliography of the life of Tasha Tudor and her family. Tudor wrote books and was America’s most beloved illustrator of children’s books. Known for using water color paintings with elaborate borders. Later in life her work included a family cook book and Christmas cards. Two of her most famous books were “Mother Goose” and “The Secret Garden,” the latter sold more than 3 million copies. Jan brought many of Tudor’s books to the meeting for members to see and appreciate.

At the end of the meeting a delicious apple dump cake was served by Nancy Egnezzi, hostess.
