SULLY — Lynnville-Sully’s Hawks faced off against the Class 1A second-ranked Southeast Warren Warhawks in Tuesday’s non-conference home game.
The Warhawks powered past the Hawks, 16-1.
Southeast Warren (19-0) scored two runs in the first and five in the second. The Warhawks had a nine-run fourth to go up 16-0.
Lynnville-Sully (9-12) pushed a run across in the bottom of the fourth. It wasn’t enough to avert a run-rule loss to the visitors.
The Hawk baseball team had three hits — a single apiece from Blaize Kuhlmann, Kinnick McFarland and Conner Maston. McFarland drove in the run.
Braden Alberts was the losing pitcher, going three innings. McFarland pitched one inning. They allowed a combined 15 hits.
Southeast Warren’s Colby Page was 4-for-4 including a double and a home run. He had seven RBIs.
