MercyOne Newton Auxiliary offering health-related scholarships

MercyOne Newton Medical Center Auxiliary is proud to have been offering scholarships to local area residents since the late 1950s. Throughout the years, the number of scholarships offered has increased proportionately to the generosity of donors and funds raised by the Auxiliary in their gift shop at the hospital.

MercyOne Newton Auxiliary scholarships are available for Jasper County residents who are pursuing an education in a health-related field. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, academic achievement along with other factors.

Scholarship applications are available at MercyOne Newton in the Human Resources department, as well as at area high school guidance offices and college financial aid offices.

Applications must be received by MercyOne Newton by March 28, 2019 to be considered for a scholarship. Applicants are responsible for seeing that the application and all supporting documents are submitted by the deadline. Late applications will not be accepted.
