Johnnie Wilcox

Johnnie Francis “John” Wilcox, the son of George Vernon and Ella Eliza (Bowie) Wilcox, was born Dec. 7, 1937, near Newton.

On Tuesday morning, Feb. 5, 2019, John passed away at the age of 81, at MercyOne Newton Medical Center.

A funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton, with a visitation just prior to the service. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to John’s Family.
