Newton Police Department
• Casey J. Brandt, 35, of Newton, was charged with violating a protective order at 8:05 a.m. Saturday. The victim came to the Newton Police Department and told an officer Brandt allegedly crawled through her bedroom window. According to a police report, the officer received permission to go to the victim’s residence in the 500 block of West Second Street South to see if Brandt was still there. Brandt was found on the bed and was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Jail.
