The garage door replacement project at the Newton Fire Department is complete. All of the garage doors and openers were replaced by Adams Door Company of Des Moines. The doors contained an expanded polystyrene insulation panel that had basically failed and become significantly waterlogged, adding to the weight of the door. The new doors contain extruded polystyrene and will not absorb water. The doors are more energy efficient and have two rows of windows to provide natural light in the station.
