The Wall that Heals

We wish to express our thanks to the below-listed organizations and individuals who made it possible for the arrival of the Vietnam Memorial Wall that Heals 2018 in Newton. This held special meaning for our family as our brother-in-law/late husband — Ronald V. Wearmouth — was killed in that war 50 years ago this month. Our thanks to Congressman Dave Loebsack who gave our family an explanation of the medals Ronnie was awarded.

Thank you to those persons who assisted in putting up and taking down the wall and those who provided around the clock security. Thank you to Tim and Dean who travel with the wall and graciously shared their wealth of information with us. Please know your efforts were greatly appreciated:

Jasper County Vietnam Veterans; Newton American Legion Post 111; Monroe Auxiliary 363; Newton Legion Riders 111; Bisom Truck Line; TPI Composites; UAW Retirees; Newton Daily News; Mark Clymer Family; Doug Bishop and Marta Ford.
