OSKALOOSA — The Prairie City-Monroe girls’ golf team placed fifth out of 11 teams at the Oskaloosa Invitational at Edmundson Golf Course on Thursday.
The Mustangs shot a 413, led by senior Madeline Mitchell’s 95.
Senior Sabrina Reed carded a 96, while sophomore Lexi Dross shot a 110 and sophomore Brooke Dross turned in a 112 as the final counting score.
Sophomore Gabbi Van Baale and junior Allison Wood both had a 119 as non-counting scores.
“The course was in great shape, and the weather was good,” PCM coach Tony Ford said. “The girls managed the course very well and putting was a bit tricky. Hopefully with the weather conditions improving we can really zero in on putting and getting a good feel for the greens.
Washington won the team title with a 322.
The Mustangs play at 10 a.m. Monday in Ames.
