Halloween costume donations needed by Goodwill of Central Iowa

Now that Halloween has passed, Goodwill of Central Iowa is asking for gently used costumes to be donated to any of its 18 retail store locations.

Halloween is the busiest time of year for Goodwill stores and the need to rebuild inventory begins today. Revenue from store sales helps fund skills training and job placement programs for individuals with barriers to employment right here in Central Iowa. In 2016, 86 cents of every dollar earned in stores went back to serve this mission, helping more than 6,500 people and assisting 1,109 in earning jobs.

Individuals that won't be able to reuse this year's costumes next year can clear space in their storage and find the store closest to them by visiting www.dmgoodwill.org. Because Goodwill of Central Iowa is a 501©3 non-profit, all donations are tax deductible.
