Kristen M. Beach, 37, unknown address, was charged with third-degree burglary at 1:01 p.m Sept. 16 after police took a burglary report at 12:52 p.m. Oct. 2 at Woodshed Storage at 409 N. 23rd Ave. W. The victim was contacted by the Woodshed Storage owner about her storage unit being broken into and ransacked. Surveillance footage from Sept. 16 showed Beach taking property from the storage unit and loading it into a vehicle. Beach was arrested and taken to the Jasper County Jail Saturday.

• Teresa L. Campbell-Hambrick, 55, of Newton, was charged with simple assault at 1:39 p.m. Friday after police saw Campbell on North Fifth Avenue assaulting the victim by pulling her hair at the front door of the residence. The victim didn’t have injuries that required medical attention. Campbell was released and issued a citation to appear in court.
