Chapter K-EN T.T.T.

Chapter K-EN T.T.T. met Oct. 10 in the home of Jane Johnson. Heidi Holley served as co-hostess and the gathering opened with dessert. President Val McKee called the meeting to order. Roll was taken, minutes read, treasurer’s report was given. Committee reports were given.

Marsha reported that the camp girls will be treated to Christmas gifts by the camp committee in December. Kay Parsons reported on the cheese ball project for the next meeting Nov. 14. Production will start at the Congregational church at 2 p.m. Dinner will be provided by members and the cheese balls will sell for $7 each. Any member can be contacted to order or purchase. Rose Evans also shared the RADA catalog. An order will be placed after the next meeting for those wishing to order.

Val McKee reported that plans are continuing for our commitments to the state convention next April in Pella. She also agreed to continue working on the bylaw revisions. In new business the group discussed the information on finances from the national board. Plans are being made for a local event inviting women to attend and learn about the mission of T.T.T. and why we feel it is important to continue.

New officers were initiated. Shirley Birkenholz and Marsha Berndt, co-presidents; Heidi Holley, vice-president; Rose Evans, corresponding secretary; Jane Johnson, recording secretary-historian; Kay Parsons, treasurer. Carolyn Hobbs was presented with a gift from the chapter upon her 50 years as a member. Val McKee was thanked for serving as our past president. The meeting adjourned with the closing creed.
