Fall Festival Saturday at Jacob Krumm

The Jasper County Conservation Department will be hosting a Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the east entrance of Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve. Come enjoy a wonderful fall afternoon with a chili contest, hayrack rides, live music by Rearview Mirror, a prairie maze, zombie pumpkin archery, seed cannon, kettle corn and pizza, fresh pressed apple cider. The Chichaqua Free Skinners group will also be in attendance.

People with great chili recipes can enter into the chili contest. It is free to enter your recipe and winners of the contest will receive a fall themed gift basket which will include four passes to Uncle Bills Pumpkin Farm, four tickets to a matinee at the Capital Theatre and other great prizes. To enter your recipe fill out the form posted at our website at jaspercountyconservation.com and return it to the Armory Annex office next to the Maytag bowl.

Entrance into the event is $5 per person or $20 per family, children under 6 are free. Chili cook-off registrants will receive free admission.
