The City of Newton and H&W Recycling are holding an Electronics, Appliances & Scrap Metal Recycling Event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the public parking lot at North Second Avenue West and West Fourth Street North.
You can recycle heat and cooling appliances, outside and yard equipment, household items and appliances, scrap metal and electronics during this event.
They will accept TVs and computer monitors for a fee: TV’s regular sized $15, console TVs $30, big Screen TVs $30 and computer monitor $15.
H&W Recycling has all certifications to de-manufacture appliances, freon and electronics. They are also certified by the DNR and the EPA. If you have questions, call them at (641) 227-3200.
