MONROE — The Prairie City-Monroe girls’ soccer team scored its first goals of the season, but the Mustangs still came out on the short end of a 3-2 game against Chariton on Tuesday.
The Chargers improved to 6-2 after the double overtime win.
Sophomore Shaylee Shedenhelm scored both goals for PCM (0-8).
The Mustangs look for redemption against Heart of Iowa rival Collins-Maxwell/Baxter at 5:30 p.m. Friday in Maxwell.
The Raiders (3-3) defeated the Mustangs 1-0 back on April 20.
