Sharon K. Tabor

Sharon K. Tabor, 69, of Newton, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2017, at her home. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 9 at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Burial will take place at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8 at the funeral home. The daughter of Laurel and Eloise (Johnson) Dykstra, Sharon was born Dec. 12, 1947, in Des Moines. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1966. Sharon was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo, going to garage sales but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, Troy (Amber) Tabor; grandchildren, Ashley (Jessica) Makayla (Jason) and Courtney; two great grandchildren, Jameson and Angell; her mother, Eloise Dykstra; two sisters, Laura Dawson and Pam (Rod) Helms; and a brother, Craig (Cindy) Dykstra. Preceding her in death was her father; fiancé, Ron Beadle; and a brother-in-law, Dean Dawson.
