It is with great pleasure that I write this letter to inform my fellow residents of Newton of the many compliments they received. I work in Des Moines and many of my acquaintances and friends are from the Des Moines and Johnston area. These people commented about our boys’ basketball team and their fans. Every one of the Dowling and Johnston fans who were in attendance at the games complimented the Newton players and their fans as being enthusiastic, well-behaved and good sports. Good luck Newton High school on Wednesday’s game.
