Pauline Roberta White

Pauline Roberta White, was born Aug, 18, 1929, on a farm near Colfax, in Jasper county. The daughter of Floyd William and Nina Elizabeth (Good) Brown, she attended Newton Schools and was a high school graduate.

On Jan. 28, 1948, Pauline was united in marriage with Arnold White at the Methodist parsonage in Knoxville. A longtime resident of the Reasnor area, she devoted her life to her family. She was employed by Woolworth Store in Newton for 10 years, and Oberlanders in the shopping center in Newton, for five years. Pauline enjoyed her garden and her friends. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.

Pauline is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Lorraine White of Newton, Terry White of Newton and Tim and Sue White of Newton; her nine grandchildren; her five great-grandchildren; her brother, Maury (Barb) Brown of Malcom; and her many friends.

Pauline died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Accura Healthcare of Newton East. She was 87 years old. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold, Dec. 29, 1995; her two sons, Doug and Mark White; and her daughter-in-law, Melody White.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13 at the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be designated to Hospice of the Midwest and may be left at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Online condolences may be left at www.pencefh.com.
