The Newton, Baxter and Colfax Fire Departments responded to a building fire at Mid-Iowa Motor Sports around 8 a.m. Tuesday at 6388 Highway 14 N. One of the buildings behind the residence was engulfed with smoke. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is unknown as of press time.
