DAVENPORT — Authorities say a man has been hospitalized after being shot by police in Davenport. The Davenport Police Department says officers were sent around 11:40 p.m. Monday to check a report about shots being fired. The department says the officers saw a vehicle racing away from the area and then tried to stop the vehicle in a parking lot. The department says two officers fired at the vehicle when it rammed a police cruiser.
