Ben Folds to perform at Hoyt Sherman Place on Nov. 6

Multi-platinum selling singer/songwriter/producer Ben Folds will perform at Hoyt Sherman Place at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.

After first finding fame with the Ben Folds Five, Folds has gone on to have a successful solo career, writing and performing pop hits, recording multiple studio and LIVE albums, collaborating with other artists and writing and recording for film and TV.

In addition to performing sold out rock shows, over the past decade he has shared the stage with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras, performing his pop hits and his critically acclaimed piano concerto. His concerto and a host of new pop songs were featured on his most recent album “So There,” which debuted No. 1 on Billboard’s Classical and Classical Crossover album charts.

This fall, Folds is back to pound pianos again in a solo tour reminiscent of his earliest solo tours, where he defied skeptics by delivering a high energy rock performance using the intimacy of just a piano.

In addition to his self-described love of performing and making music “for humans,” Folds is also an avid photographer, and is a member of the distinguished Sony Artisans of Imagery.

Folds is also an advocate for music education and music therapy as a member of Artist Committee of the Americans For The Arts. He also serves as a member of the Board of
Directors of the Nashville Symphony.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. July 20 and can be purchased in person at the Hoyt Sherman Place Box Office, charged by phone at 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
