• Megan M. Kinart, 26, of Newton, is charged with disorderly conduct after authorities were called at 2:56 a.m. Saturday to 901 S. 13th Ave. E. Officers were called about two women fighting in a parking lot. They found the women, both with blood on them. They both took responsibility for starting the fight. Kinart was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Kimberly R. Winchell, 25, of Newton, is charged with disorderly conduct after authorities were called at 2:56 a.m. Saturday to 901 S. 13th Ave. E. Officers were called about two women fighting in a parking lot. They found the women, both with blood on them. They both took responsibility for starting the fight. Winchell was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Daniel M. Murphy, 23, of Newton, is charged with operating while under the influence after authorities pulled him over at 10:49 p.m. Friday at the intersection of East Seventh Street North and North Third Avenue East. Officers saw he had red, watery, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. He had a BAC of .207. He was cited and released to appear.

• Adam M. Bowen, 29, of Newton, is charged with assault causing bodily injury or mental illness and fifth-degree criminal mischief after authorities were called at 12:42 a.m. Friday to the 900 block of Ninth Avenue East. Officers spoke with the victim who said she had injuries to both arms and one leg from Bowen throwing her down on a concrete patio. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Richard D. Billings, 52, of Newton, is charged with domestic abuse assault after authorities were called at 9:57 p.m. Saturday to the 1200 bock of South 16th Avenue West. Officers spoke with the victim who said Billings hit them in the face multiple times. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
