Tractor ride headed through Newton, east half of county

WHO Radio’s 20th annual Tractor Ride is coming through Jasper County on Monday.

Beginning with a first wave about 7:30 a.m., slow-moving tractors will begin in Grinnell and head to Rock Creek State Park by way of Highway 6, Highway T38 and County Road F27.

The first group to leave Rock Creek State Park for Newton will depart at 9:06 a.m., heading south on Iowa 224 through Kellogg to Highway 6, then into Newton and out to Iowa Speedway for lunch via Iowa Speedway Drive and Rusty Wallace Drive.

Beginning at 10:45 a.m., groups will head south along Highway S74 South to Reasnor and then east along Highway F62 to Sully City Park. The first group leaving Sully toward Lynnville and then Searsboro (to turn north and return to Grinnell) leaves at 2:10 p.m.
