The Iowa High School Athletic Association released the postseason baseball assignments for Class 1A and 2A on Thursday, and four Jasper County teams have been paired together in their respective classes.
In 2A, Collins-Maxwell/Baxter (6-5) and Prairie City-Monroe (6-10) will both play in District 13 and will be joined by Roland-Story (16-4), Des Moines Christian (11-6), West Marshall (10-8) and South Hamilton (4-8).
Roland-Story is currently ranked eighth by the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association.
In 1A, Colfax-Mingo and Lynnville-Sully also are in District 13. The Tigerhawks (10-6) and Hawks (10-5) were paired with third-ranked Martensdale-St. Marys (13-3), Southeast Warren (10-5), Morman Trail (10-3), Wayne (7-7), Central Decatur (6-8), Iowa Christian Academy (4-5) and Melcher-Dallas (2-11).
The assignments for 3A and 4A are expected to be released next week.
