I was born and raised in Newton. I have never seen so much negative politics that are being orchestrated from the Jasper County Courthouse, as is going on at this time.
I used to have a lot of respect for Doug Bishop, but no more. If he wanted the job of state representative, he should have run for the job, instead of running a smear campaign from behind his desk.
There are no kings in Jasper County, but don’t tell that to Doug Bishop. He has made a cottage industry off of running the Jasper County party from his publicly funded perch at the courthouse.
You know, there are people here in Newton who work for a living. The courthouse mafia could learn a thing or two from the working class.
