MARENGO — The Colfax-Mingo golfers lost to South Iowa Cedar League foe Iowa Valley on Thursday.
The Tigerhawk boys had four scores in the 40s, but the Tigers won the meet 167-186. Delaney Underwood shot a 53 in the girls division, but Iowa Valley cruised to the 210-298 victory.
Three Colfax-Mingo seniors led the way for the Tigerhawks. Mason Mosher had the team’s best score of 45, while Zevin Lander shot a 46 and Jake Jeter had a 47. Freshman Ahren Teed had the other counting score of 48.
Senior Jacob Buehrer and sophomore Johnathan Jacobs had non-counting scores of 53 and 57, respectively. Freshman Skyler Aikin shot a 54 to lead the Tigerhawk junior varsity.
Underwood’s 53 was good enough for third overall. Skye Weber had a 76, Camillia Schlasser shot an 83 and Jasmine Riley carded an 86.
The Tigerhawks host Lynnville-Sully at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Colfax Country Club.
