We have known Wes Breckenridge for 20-plus years in various capacities. He was a fellow student at DMACC, a trainer with the Citizens Police Academy and as a school resource officer. Wes approached all of these with tenacity and professionalism. He attended DMACC to further his career and education while working full-time as a police officer as well as being married with three children.
The Citizens Police Academy educates the public on many of the situations police officers encounter. Wes was passionate about exposing the class to real life scenarios for a better understanding of what they actually experience. As a resource officer, Wes interacted with students and staff to solve difficult situations as well as being a role model. He was well respected and made the schools a safer place.
These are only a few reasons why we support Wes Breckenridge. We are confident he will take his knowledge, problem solving skills and passion to the House of Representatives to make Iowa a better place to live.
