Noble adds Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep

Growth is always a good sign for a business and that is true at Noble Auto Group in Newton.

Noble added Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep to its line up along with a new building to house the franchises at the 2020 W. 20th St. S. location.

“It’s been going really well,” sales consultant Kristin Huyser said.

Along with the addition of three new brands, Noble added five new stalls for the service department that are used for detail. Previously, the detail department was much smaller and fit in among other departments.

“We had two stalls and they were always getting backed up. They have been staying really busy, and we have increased the amount of protection packages people put on vehicles. Rust proofing, paint protection, we have increased that by quite a bit,” Huyser said.

Also added was a new feature for the dealership: a car wash. Noble President Nick Nichols said he wants to give the customer the best service possible and washing the vehicles before they are returned is another step toward that.

A positive impact the new building has made in the community was the hiring of additional staff to the new building, including a manager, finance director, sales consultants and six employees in the service department.

The building was originally planned for the north side of the property, close to the interstate, but it was found there was not enough room to house the building in the area. Nichols then purchased two additional lots to the south of the current dealership and placed the expansion there.

Nichols is not done yet, though. Looking four to five years down the road, he hopes to add more to the thriving business.

“I have plans to expand here in Newton as well. I plan on adding a body shop one day and getting additional manufacturers, some foreign manufactures,” Nichols said.

Noble opened in Newton in 2003 on the east side of town, where the north United Laboratories building is located on First Avenue East. Work began on its current location in 2005 and was completed in August 2006. Noble Auto Group is the second Noble location, with the original in Indianola.
