• Aaron K. Anderson, 40, of Newton, was arrested on a warrant for parole violation after authorities were called at 11:30 a.m. Monday to the adult probation office. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Mindie S. Woodard, 47, of Newton, was arrested on a Jasper County warrant after authorities were called at 6:56 p.m. Tuesday to 1500 W. 18th St. S. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Dustin R. Bestell, 23, of Baxter, is charged with unauthorized use of a credit card under $1,000 after authorities were called at 7:59 p.m. Dec. 14 to Walmart. Officers spoke with the victim who said she found out her lost debit card was used at Walmart, Murphy Oil and Casey’s. A video at Walmart showed Bestell and another person attempting to use the card to purchase more than $300 worth of cellular products. After the card was declined three times they purchased a single phone card for $64.71. They then left and purchased fuel for $26.75. Bestell said he got the card from Sam Brown and was suppose to get groceries, however, that is not what the video showed Bestell doing. The other person involved said Sam Brown gave them the card he got from a friend and said it was OK to use it. He was cited and released to appear.

• Christopher L. Cleveland, 33, of Des Moines, is charged with fifth-degree theft after authorities were called at 10:30 p.m. March 21 to 405 First Ave. E. Officers were called to Kum & Go about a shoplifter and spoke with the store manager who said she saw Cleveland place a bottle of alcohol under his shirt on security video. He then left without paying for the bottle. The alcohol was valued at $24.58. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
