A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Jasper County until 6 p.m. Monday.
Strong gusty winds with periods of snow showers and blowing snow have caused significant reduction in visibility. Drifting snow will also continue.
The National Weather Service in Des Moines issued the weather advisory for snow and blowing snow. Visibility is reduced to around one half of a mile especially in rural, open areas. Travel may be difficult due to icy, snow-covered roads and low visibility.
