The Jasper County FSA office is encouraging producers to come in this winter to complete farm enrollment contracts to save farmers time later this summer. If one has any farm record updates, including ownership changes on farms, submit those changes now so the office can update the farms accordingly and have the correct information on the enrollment contracts. Keep in mind, a change from an individual to a revocable trust is an ownership change that will need to be recorded on the farm.
The 2016 ARC-CO, ARC-IC and PLC enrollment started on Dec. 1, 2015 and ends on Aug. 1, 2016.
Any payments for the 2015 ARC-CO, ARC-IC, and/or PLC will be determined after the marketing year ends Aug. 31. If any payments are earned, those will be issued sometime after Oct. 1. Each month, USDA updates the projected Marketing Year Average Price for all covered commodities. ARC-IC forms will need to be submitted by completing a CCC-863. The deadline to submit this form is July 15, 2016.
