• Kendra J. Boger, 23, of Newton, is charged with fifth-degree criminal mischief after authorities were called at 11:11 a.m. Monday to 102 N. 16th Ave. W. Officers were called about a woman, identified as Boger, who allegedly punched a glass window on the front door and was not welcome on the property. The victim said that she was providing day care for Boger’s children, but told her not to come over to get property that Boger was wanting. She said Boger came anyway, tried to walk in uninvited and broke the window, which is valued at $50. She was cited and released to appear.

• Jassam Monzon, 24, of Elmwood Park, Ill., is charged with operating while under the influence, controlled substance violation, failure to affix drug stamp, two counts of carrying weapons while intoxicated, and possession of drug paraphernalia after authorities pulled him over at 1:45 a.m. Monday at mile marker 168 on Interstate 80. Officers were called about a Jeep on the interstate traveling recklessly. Officers found the vehicle and saw it cross the center line. After making contact with the driver, Monzon, officers smelled alcohol and saw he had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. When asked if he had been drinking he said no. While searching the vehicle, officers found a shoe box that had 9.37 ounces of marijuana, a pipe in the center console, a .38 revolver under the seat and a 9 mm handgun in the glove box. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Hector D. Bonilla, 32, of Newton, is charged with false report, 911 call after authorities were called at 8:12 p.m. Monday to 2210 S. Eighth Ave. E. Officers were called about an argument and found Bonilla who was in a verbal argument with another person. That person had agreed to leave the residence after collecting some belongings. While the officers were still there, Bonilla called 911 to complain about officers and how things were being handled and was told not to call in non-emergency situation. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
