• Andrea M. Perkins, 36, of Newton, is charged with fifth-degree theft after authorities were called at 1:59 p.m. Tuesday to Hy-Vee. Officers identified Perkins, who admitted to taking property from Hy-Vee and placing it in her purse with no intentions of paying for it. The items taken were valued at $50.30. She was cited and released to appear.
