• Jordan J. Troen, 24, of Newton, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and was arrested on an Iowa Departments of Corrections warrant after authorities were called to the 500 block of First Avenue East at 3:36 p.m. Sept. 29. Officers found Troen riding his bicycle, and he was wearing a backpack. After searching the backpack officers found several syringes, mini baggies, a burning spoon, a container with marijuana residue and packaging with white powdery residue. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Katelund E. Jeffrey, 19, of Prairie City, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license under suspension and was arrested on a Marion County warrant after authorities pulled her over in the 1100 block of West Sixth Street South at 10:37 p.m. Friday. Jeffrey was identified as driving with a suspended license and after searching the vehicle officers found a small pouch containing a glass methamphetamine pipe and syringe. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Jonas R. Henderson, 38, of Newton, is charged with simple misdemeanor interference with official acts after authorities were called to 718 E. Fourth St. N. at 11:10 p.m. Friday. Officers were called about an unresponsive male and found Henderson. After paramedics attempted to place an IV in him he woke up and began swinging his arms and legs. He was restrained and informed why they officers were at the residence. He continued to fight and was then handcuffed. He continued to resist and was told several times to stop fighting, but he did not listen. He was taken to the Jasper County Jail.

• Kevin E. Stepanek, 56, of Newton, is charged with operating while under the influence and open container after authorities pulled him over in the 500 block of First Avenue East at 9:42 p.m. Saturday. Officers noticed he seemed to be under the influence and he failed sobriety tests. He had a BAC of .114. He was cited and released to appear.
