Group censures incoming UI president over ethics

IOWA CITY — Faculty leaders in the University of Iowa’s largest college have voted to censure the incoming school president over inaccuracies on his resume.

The Faculty Assembly of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences on Wednesday chastised former IBM executive Bruce Harreld for a “failure of professional ethics.” The motion notes Harreld listed his job on his resume as the managing principal of a business strategy consulting firm that is defunct.
