DES MOINES — Charlotte Bowden, of Monroe, received third place in the other needlework — crocheted article category. Young sewers from all around Iowa gathered to put their skills to the test in the Junior division of the Fabric and Threads contest judged prior to the start of the 2015 Iowa State Fair. The Junior division is open to contestants under the age of 18.
